After Robert Griffin III made his points clear in the debate over Caitlin Clark, his former teammate, Dez Bryant, has come out with his own statement, suggesting Clark needs to be more consistent as the polarization around the Indiana Fever star continues.
Robert Griffin III had earlier said, “Caitlin Clark is the face of the WNBA before she has won a championship and it has come with extreme push back from the players in the way she is guarded and treated. Just like Michael Jordan and LeBron James were.”
“I love CC as well..but she needs to be more consistent…You know and I know ..as true competitors, we do not pat ourselves on the back whenever you go out and do what we are supposed to do…,” Bryant said on X.
“Everybody is talking about CC and A’ja the Face…but Olivia Miles could mess around and become the face of the WNBA… I’m just saying..”
The tweet came after RGIII suggested that fans consider Clark the face of the WNBA, while players put A’ja Wilson above her, making it a complicated situation that nobody will ever really agree on, even though Clark’s impact on the WNBA is far greater in a shorter period of time.
Dez Bryant and Robert Griffin III were briefly teammates at the Baltimore Ravens in 2020 during the fag end of their careers in the NFL, and enjoy mutual respect, even if their opinions don’t always align.

Beyond this tweet, Bryant has been active in speaking about Caitlin Clark’s impact on the WNBA, making it clear that he has been a fan of hers even if his broader point is that she is not the most consistent player in the league.
