Sophie Cunningham harnessed the Harry Potter energy after she suffered a similar scar on her forehead after the last game. The Indiana Fever faced the Golden State Valkyries and won the game, 90-82. However, it was not without its consequences for the small forward.
During a battle on the court for the ball, Cunningham suffered a head scratch and went to the bench to ask about the injury. When she asked her teammate, Tyasha Harris, the guard assured her that there was no scratch, so she could keep playing. However, Cunningham found the truth once she returned to her place.
In an Instagram story, the Fever enforcer explained the entire ordeal. A user shared that video on X, in which she said:
“I came out and literally went around the bench, I was like, ‘Ty, do I have a scratch on my head? It hurts.’ She goes no, you’re fine… I look like freakin Harry Potter.”
Harry Potter, the protagonist from the movie series of Happy Porter, unlocked his special powers, by which he sensed the enemy around him. Cunningham seemingly referred to the mark in the same meaning, as she has had a good start to the season, averaging 8.7 points and 2.8 rebounds.
Cunningham’s style of playing makes her vulnerable to such battles on the court, where she physically puts herself in the paint and around the ball.
Sophie Cunningham turns heads with her pre-game fit
The Indiana Fever has kept the spirit up on and off the court this season. While Sophie Cunningham has helped the team on both ends of the floor, she has caught a lot of eyeballs with her pre-game outfits and glamorous looks.
Meanwhile, Lexie Hull was seen with Indy500 fits before the Valkyries game. Indy500 is a highly anticipated IndyCar race held in Indianapolis, Ind. every year. Caitlin Clark has been announced as the race marshal for the event this Sunday, May 24.
Hull sported a black two-piece dress along with a white jacket featuring blue and red stripes with a checker flag-themed middle stripe. Hater Report shared her pre-game look on X and wrote:
“Sophie Cunningham & Lexi Hull pregame”
The Fever has won consecutive games for the first time this season, as the team suffered some struggles in the first few games. Caitlin Clark also faced shooting woes initially, but looks more in form now. She led the team in the last game with 22 points and nine assists, with Aliyah Boston scoring a double-double with 20 points and 16 rebounds.
