Chennedy Carter came face-to-face with Azzi Fudd during the Dallas Wings’ comeback 95-87 win over the Las Vegas Aces on Thursday night. Fudd, the 2026 WNBA draft’s top overall pick, posted 22 points against the defending champions in her first game as a starter. After the game, the rookie’s fans seemingly turned on Carter on social media.
Carter is not unfamiliar with controversies. She did not play last season because teams reportedly declined to extend her contract due to her frequent locker-room altercations with teammates.
Given the constant trolling on social media, the Aces guard has decided to ban fans. She wrote on Threads:
“30 day ban starting now , bc you drag situations. you’ll learn this app is a free app and fans dont own it !”

Carter earlier threw shade at Fudd, saying, “I made her ankle touch the ground,” in one of her posts. She also highlighted the difference in averages between her and Fudd for this season. Carter is averaging 19.0 points off the bench, while Fudd averages 12.6 after consecutive 20-point games.
Chennedy Carter scored 14 points off the bench in her last game and has been a constant offensive asset for the Aces since joining in the offseason. On the other hand, Fudd, who began her pro career on the bench, made her first start and put together a stellar shooting performance.
“I want to help the team” – Chennedy Carter addresses her minutes limitation after Aces beat Dream
Chennedy Carter opened up in the postgame media session after the Las Vegas Aces narrowly defeated the Atlanta Dream 85-84 on May 17. She scored 20 points off the bench, shooting 7 of 14 from the floor. The guard made WNBA history, becoming the player with the most points off the bench in the first five games.
However, she wasn’t on the floor in the final minutes of the game. Carter expressed her wish to close games for her team and said:
“I mean, I felt good about my game. Obviously, I want to help the team close in the fourth quarter, if possible, but it was a good game. I’m still going through it. I’m a little bit disappointed, so happy we won, but yeah.”
