“I Wouldn’t Even Pay $10 for My Own Jersey” – Paige Bueckers Drops Priceless Reaction to Wings Debut Jersey Fetching Record-Breaking Price at Auction

Paige Bueckers has shattered another record. Her Dallas Wings debut jersey, which she wore in the May 16, 2025, matchup against the Minnesota Lynx, sold at auction for $64,720. She surpassed A’ja Wilson, whose jersey from the 2025 WNBA Finals sold for a then-record $32,150.

After a recent practice session, the Wings guard expressed her thoughts on the feat.

“I am just like very grateful, feeling very blessed in just that people are that invested in women’s sports. People have been supporting, you can see the rise in popularity, the growth in respect. And it just means so much… Every single day we get to play the game that we love in front of the people that support us, in front of the people that support women’s basketball and sports in general. This is a good day to be alive.

“I can’t even imagine like, I wouldn’t even pay $10 for my own jersey.”

The price difference between the two most expensive jerseys in the league is proof of how much the sport has grown in recent times, as well as Bueckers’ popularity.

Paige Bueckers says she takes a lot from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s game

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s OKC Thunder and Victor Wembanyama’s San Antonio Spurs are set to feature in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals on Saturday. Paige Bueckers was asked for her thoughts on the high-intensity playoff series and who she looked up to.

    Bueckers said:

“I take a lot from Shai’s game, just being able to get to your spot consistently.”

The Wings guard also praised New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson:

“Watching Jalen Brunson and his footwork, I think I’ve learned a lot from that. His ability to not be the tallest, most athletic person on the floor, but his consistency in getting to his spots, getting to the rim, getting to the free-throw line and being aggressive that way. I really enjoy watching it.”

The Wings will now gear up to face the Seattle Storm after defeating defending champion Las Vegas Aces in their last game. Azzi Fudd was clinical, scoring 22 points and leading the team to victory.
