WATCH: Caitlin Clark, Stephanie White Engage in Fiery Exchange On-Court, Fueling Fan Scrutiny on Fever HC

Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark and head coach Stephanie White seem to be having differences. Since taking over as head coach last season, fans have noted subtle gestures and interactions to suggest White doesn’t hold Clark in high regard.

The latest display happened in Sunday’s regular-season game against the Seattle Storm. In the first quarter, with 32.8 s remaining and Indiana leading 32-17, Clark was substituted while she was trying to have a conversation with her teammates.

As she was walking away from the group, she could really be seen frustrated with White. The head coach was also gesturing something to Clark. One WNBA creator dissected the whole clip.

“Every time Caitlin says A, you say B,” the creator said. “How about you, yeah, Caitlin, let’s try A. For God’s sake, I’ve never seen you agree with Caitlin Clark on camera, my girl. Holy, like, God damn, Steph. Like, give us something positive to say at some point. And you may, it’s hard for your haters to defend you. I mean, it’s hard for your defenders to defend you. God damn.

“It’s the end of the game. Caitlin is trying to communicate. And now Myisha Hines-Allen is having an attitude. Like, oh my gosh, man. Save Caitlin Clark, bro. Yo, at some point, man, we’re going to have to start being, like, we got to be, like, come on.”

The creator seems to be calling out the gimmick that’s going on with Clark not meshing well with the Fever’s head coach, who is in her second season with the organization.

“Even Slurp FC, y’all got to, at some point, y’all got to see this,” the creator added. “Like, there’s no way Caitlin Clark is losing her shit, and everyone’s acting like this is normal. Like, this is years on, on years of evidence. You know what? It is what it is, bro.”

There seems to be a growing pattern with Clark and the coaches who came along with White last season. In one such clip, Clark, out of curiosity, was giving directions to Fever players during a game, and she was shut down by a Fever coach sitting two seats away. Soon enough, Clark kept her mouth shut.

The user, who shared the clip, tried suggesting that the coaches on the Fever are trying to micromanage Clark and is not having her natural instincts take over.
