Wednesday’s MLB game between the Giants and Diamondbacks turned out to be a high-profile affair with Caitlin Clark among the attendees. The Fever superstar, currently in San Francisco for her game on Thursday against the San Francisco Valkyries, chose to spend her day with her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, at Oracle Park.

Brandin Podziemski was also in attendance. He sat in front of Clark and McCaffery. The Warriors guard, interestingly, has also been one of the Valkyries’ biggest supporters.

Giants’ CEO Larry Baer also happened to be in the frame as he had a conversation with Caitlin Clark and Brandin Podziemski.

The video left a few fans confused about Clark’s MLB allegiance, as the Giants have never been among her list of favorite teams. She’s previously been spotted at Cubs and Phillies games, mainly due to her boyfriend, who supports Philadelphia. She’s also mentioned the Yankees as a team she likes supporting.

Clark and Podziemski will likely meet again on Thursday, but on opposite ends. Podziemski often attends Valkyries games at Chase Center and leads the fans’ charge to banter with the opposing team and its players.

It’s always a tense battle with the Fever and even more so because of their last clash on Indiana’s home floor on Friday, when Clark got into it with multiple players.

Caitlin Clark’s back injury issues continue to see her listed for Valkyries clash

Caitlin Clark has been dealing with a lingering back issue this season since the opening day game against the Dallas Wings. Clark went back to the locker room multiple times that game for treatment. On May 20, Clark missed the contest against the Portland Fire as a last-minute addition to the injury report, citing back soreness.

It turned out controversial. The WNBA warned the Fever for misreporting. Clark returned for the next game against the Valkyries on Friday despite being listed as probable.

She’s listed as probable again for Thursday’s rematch, giving her a 75% chance of playing. The Fever are on a three-game winning streak and will look to maintain their 100% road record. They beat the Sparks in their only away game before Thursday’s trip to Chase Center.
