Paige Bueckers has been in her best form this season. The Dallas Wings have gotten back on track after small hiccups in the start of the season. There has been a lot of conversations around Paige Bueckers, the number one draft pick Azzi Fudd and some controversies around head coach Jose Fernandez. Paige has tackled all the questions in the media and has answered with her up front personality.
Just like she answered when asked about NBA playoffs. The New York Knicks swept the Cleveland Cavaliers recently as The Oklahoma City Thunders lead the series 3-2 vs San Antonio Spurs. Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns had an easy ride with 4-0 vs a dull Cavaliers. However, the other series has Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Victor Wembanyama going neck and neck.
Paige recently talked about NBA. The reporter asked if she would be interested in having a half court contest with Victor Wembanyama. Paige took a second and chuckled. She then continued to express disbelief for Victor Wembanyama’s half court three pointer in game 4 vs the OKC.
“I guess so, I mean that shot bro, I was screaming on the plane. It was tough as the first three [NBA] games we played at like the exact same time. I think game 4, game 5 we got to watch and we were all watching on the plane. And when he [Wembanyama] hit that, we were all screaming on the plane,” Paige revealed.

Apart from sharing her reaction to Wemby’s crazy shot, Paige also talked about other big stars of the NBA playoffs. Bueckers has always been a fan of the sport and watches a lot of basketball. The reporter asked her whether she takes up some skill or move that she tries to adapt in her game.
She shared how the level of physicality in the playoffs is way more and both OKC, Spurs are making it really tough for each other. “I take a lot from Shai’s game just being able to get to your spot instantly. And Steph[Stephon Castle], he’s my guy so he’s done a good job defensively but they really guarding him with five,” she added.
“I just really enjoy watching basketball. So to see that level of competition. I mean Wemby’s an alien, he’s unreal. And for me to watch Jalen Brunson and his footwork, I think I have learnt a lot from that. His ability to, not being the tallest, most athletic person on the floor, but his consistency in getting to his spot getting to the rim, getting through the free throw line, I’ve impressed with him that way,” Paige said.
