Carson Beck is gearing up for the biggest game of his life Monday as he gets ready to face Curt Cignetti, Fernando Mendoza and the Indiana Hoosiers. Beck will be asked to stop what many believe could be the birth of the next Nick Saban. To do it, he will need all of the support he can get.
Luckily for Beck, he has his parents to fall back on. Here’s a look at the Miami Hurricane quarterback’s family.
Who is Carson Beck’s Father?
Carson Beck’s father is Chris Beck. Chris is a former football player, per an Oct. 18, 2018 report by The Baltimore Sun. Carson’s father was a three-year letterman at U.S. Naval Academy in the 1990s.
Both Carson and Chris played linebacker at one point, and Chris coached Carson through his Pop Warner years, per The Atlanta Journal-Constitution via a Jan. 8 report by People. Now, the father of the quarterback can only cheer his son on as others coach him.
Who is Carson Beck’s Mother?
Carson Beck’s mother is Tracy Beck. Tracy met Chris in Annapolis, Maryland, and the two married. However, their marriage didn’t last forever, as the two divorced.
Tracy was an athlete as well, who worked as a professional dancer for the Washington Wizards (then called the Washington Bullets). Before that, she worked as a member of the University of Maryland’s dance team, per The Athletic via People.
Tracy shows lots of support for her son at games, leading a group of friends and family called “Beck’s Brigade,” according to an Oct. 31 report by DawgNation.
The games take a toll on her, leading her to cry at certain moments, according to Tracy.
“Honestly he tells me to relax,” she said. “I promise you that. He says ‘Don’t be nervous’ and ‘Be calm’ and ‘I’ve got this’ and ‘Tell everybody around you to not be nervous’ because it is nerve-wracking to be the quarterback’s mom and anybody’s mom.”
One can only guess what she will be feeling as Beck competes for the national championship.
