The Indiana Hoosiers and the Miami Hurricanes are now in Miami ahead of their much-anticipated showdown at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on Monday. Both teams have been unstoppable in the CFP so far, with Indiana demolishing every opponent in front of them, while Miami showed they belonged and pulled off upset after upset after upset. It now all boils down to this one final game, though Miami does have the home field.
That being said, much like any college football team in the playoffs, both teams are also coming in with a few injured players. Both teams have now released their final injury reports ahead of Monday’s big games, and it is good news for many fans as the big names for either team did not catch the injury big. Still, there are plenty of injured players on both sides, particularly on defense:

There might be a few holes in Indiana’s often-unbreakable defense in the first half, as defensive back Xavier Lucas will not be playing in the first half as he is out with an unspecified injury, though he may be returning later. Fernando Mendoza also will not have TE Elija Lofton and WR Daylyn Upshaw as options in the game as both of them are also out with injuries.

Miami seems to be going into the National Championship Game a lot more banged up than Indiana, as the Hurricanes have eight injured players as opposed to the Hoosiers’ six. That being said, kicker Brendan Franke will be probable though it will be a gametime decision. Defensive lineman Andrew Depaepe and running back Lee Beebe Jr. were also listed to miss this important game.
