It’s never too late to chase your dream, and rapper Toosi has recently shown that in the football world.

Toosi, whose real name is Nau’jour Grainger rose to fame in 2023 for his viral song, “Favorite Song” which peaked at No. 5 on Billboard Hot 100. The Syracuse-based rapper played high school football at Rolesville High School in North Carolina and announced last summer he was taking a break from his music career to train in Raleigh at North Carolina State for football.

In December, Toosi announced his commitment to Syracuse despite having no prior college football experience. Nearly two months later, the rapper has decided to take his talents to one of the most prolific college football programs.

Toosi Called His Shot Last Summer That He’d Be On A College Football Team

Last summer, Toosi called his shot by tweeting that he was chasing history by being the first rapper to go back to college to play Division I football.

At the time, some didn’t know if he was serious or pulling a publicity stunt. Since then, he visited multiple schools and was slated to join Syracuse’s football before he joined LSU recently.
