“See A White Boy And Think He Can’t Run”: Whit Weeks’ Brother West Shuts Down Sterotypes With Stellar LSU Pro Day Performance

LSU has produced a lot of football greats who have transitioned well to the NFL, and with the LSU Pro Day, some of its seniors showed off to scouts what they could do. One of them is linebacker West Weeks, whose brother, Whit Weeks, will be staying with the Tigers for at least another year. The elder Weeks brother was one of the more surprising prospects during the event, as he showed off his speed.

Many were actually surprised by how fast he could run, showing off his speed at the 40-yard dash. He then talked about people doubting him after his performance.

“That was a huge step for me, cause I mean, I know a lot of teams, they see a white boy up here and are like, ‘oh man, he can’t run,” so I’m glad I got to put that narrative to sleep to day and just continue to grow as a player and as a person,” he said.

Weeks was soon congratulated by Whit, Bauer, Sharp and Garrett Nussmeier, with Nussmeier also participating during the LSU Pro Day. He was unofficially clocked at going below 4.5 seconds in his 40-yard dash attempt, with the linebacker reposting that video on X.

A total of 17 former LSU players participated during the LSU Pro Day, with NFL scouts from various teams present to see how well they did.

How Did Other LSU Players Fare During the LSU Pro Day?

During the LSU Pro Day, all eyes were on QB Garrett Nussmeier, who looked healthy heading into the event in front of scouts. He completed 69 of his 72 passes and had a 45-yard throw.

Meanwhile, CB Mansoor Delane had a 4.35 40-yd dash, topping the exercise ahead of West Weeks. Chris Hilton was also fast, running for 4.41 in the 40-yard dash, and he also had the highest vertical of the day with a 38.5.
