“You Should Be Ashamed Of Yourselves” – Jannik Sinner Fans Blast $11.5 Billion Fashion Brand Over Wardrobe Fail At Laureus Awards

Jannik Sinner collaborated with Italian fashion brand Gucci for his outfit for the 2026 Laureus World Sports Awards in Madrid.

The World No. 1 arrived at the event, wearing a black tuxedo suit with a satin lapel underneath a white dress shirt. He complemented the look with a black bow tie and black trousers.

Gucci, a $11.5 billion fashion brand (via Fashion United), posted Sinner’s appearance at the event:

However, the multi-billion-dollar brand received immense backlash on the outfit’s fabric, which didn’t have consistency throughout. Crease can be seen forming on both sides of the arms.

“the audacity to post this @gucci you should be ashamed of yourselves 😭” one fan wrote.

“Next time give him a suit that actually fits him,” another fan wrote.

“Delete this bro yall fumbled his look,” one fan commented.

“You gave my boy coat😭. This ain’t no Tux. SMH,” one fan remarked.

“girl you couldn’t find him a tailor?” one fan questioned.

“Proper shambles. Far too oversized,he’s swimming in it. Fabric looks dead cheap too. He’s a champion, not a runway model. Same mess as Wimbledon. Sort it out!!!” one fan wrote.

Jannik Sinner Prays for Carlos Alcaraz After Concerning Injury Update

Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are fierce rivals on the court but they respect and admire each other. Alcaraz is dealing with a troubled wrist and after pulling out from the Barcelona, the Spaniard has decided to skip Madrid Open while also dropping hint that he might not play Roland Garros this year.

“I have a long career ahead of me. Forcing for Roland Garros could penalise me enormously in the future,” Alcaraz said.

In the wake of this update and keeping in mind about Novak Djokovic’s absence in Madrid as well, Sinner hopes the best for fellow rivals.

“We didn’t talk a lot about this topic,” Sinner said. “I think it’s also very, very private. But I think we all saw that he had a (cast) on – hopefully it can help him to get back as soon as possible. It’s a very big pity to not have him here and also Novak (Djokovic) – the two biggest stars in tennis.”

“It’s for sure a very tough thing for the tournament,” Sinner added. “Also, last year, he (Alcaraz) didn’t play, so twice in a row and also Novak not here, it’s tough to swallow for a tournament.”

Sinner’s odds of winning Madrid have increased since Alcaraz and Djokovic pulled out. He would be a favorite in this year’s French Open if Alcaraz is unable to play.
