World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz begins his quest at Indian Wells with a round 2 matchup against star Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov on Saturday. Alcaraz leads the head-to-head stat against the Bulgarian 4-2. In their previous three meetings, Dimitrov is 2-1 against the Spaniard. The duo’s most recent match was the round of 16 clash at Indian Wells last year, where Alcaraz steamrolled past Dimitrov 6-1, 6-1.
Both players have found success against each other in recent years; therefore, it is anticipated to be a highly competitive clash at Indian Wells on Saturday, despite the World No. 1 being the heavy favorite.
