“Will Not Watch LeBron James In Warriors Uniform” – Coco Gauff’s Ex-Coach Takes Aim At $1.4B NBA Star As Trade Rumors Intensify

Coco Gauff’s former coach, Brad Gilbert, reacted to rumors linking LeBron James with a move to the Golden State Warriors.

James reportedly left the Los Angeles Lakers in June 2026 after the franchise shifted its focus toward building a younger roster. Soon after, reports emerged that the Warriors were pursuing the unrestricted free agent. Stephen Curry publicly shared his pitch for James at the American Century Championship golf tournament.

Meanwhile, Draymond Green opted out of his $27.6 million player option to seemingly create financial flexibility for James. The two were also recently seen vacationing and golfing together in Puerto Rico. One of the NBA insiders on X reported that Green was committed to returning to the Warriors while recruiting James. It drew the attention of Gilbert, who shared dismay over the rumor, writing:

Jonathan Kuminga entered free agency after the Atlanta Hawks rejected his $24.3 million team option for the 2026-27 season. The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly the most interested team in recruiting the 23-year-old, offering short-term deals, including a two-year contract worth around $10 million annually. In addition, they have also reportedly offered a starting small forward role alongside Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves.

Reports of Kuminga looking for a contract worth more than $25 million per year are making rounds on the internet. This news garnered the attention of Coco Gauff’s former coach, Brad Gilbert, who shared his take on X by referencing Rui Hachimura’s two-year $28 million move to the LA Clippers:
