“Imagine If Emma Raducanu Or Danielle Collins Shilled Like This” – Carlos Alcaraz Faces Harsh Scrutiny From Fans After Luxury Yacht Purchase

Spanish tennis star Carlos Alcaraz has recently bought a multi-million-dollar luxury yacht. It’s a Sunreef Ultima 88 catamaran from Sunreef Yachts with almost 88 feet in length. The yacht is currently under construction in Gdańsk, Poland, to be customized as per his preferences.

With this purchase, Alcaraz has joined a rare group of exclusive tennis players owning a yacht, including former fellow Spaniard Rafael Nadal, who also owns a Sunreef yacht. The World No. 1 is also becoming a brand ambassador for Sunreef.

Alcaraz hopes to promote and influence owning a yacht.

“Hopefully I can influence younger people,” he said. “I hope I can show people how beautiful it is. When they see me as an owner of a yacht, maybe they will think this could be a really good option to relax, have fun and see how beautiful the sea is.”

Upon learning of this lavish purchase by Alcaraz and his motive behind it, fans criticized the Spaniard. Some drew an objection to why the World No. 1 was trying to influence young people into buying such luxury vessel.

“Imagine if Sabalenka, Raducanu, or Danielle Collins shilled for a yachts like this. The comments would eviscerate them. The comments about Carlos have been mild so far,” one fan commented.

“Are you trying to say that someone with a minimum wage job should be able to afford a yacht?” one fan asked.

“Even if they were to do that, there wouldn’t be such a stark dissonance with how they portray themselves. With Carlos advertising himself as humble and grounded, living with parents, all trophies in a small room, this comes off as a stark contrast to asking his “young fans” to buy yachts,” another fan wrote.

“Djokovic would never endorse some bullshit like this. He grew up in a war torn country and came from humble beginnings. That is why his story and journey are so much easier to appreciate and be inspired by. I know I’m gonna get downvoted to hell but that doesn’t mean I’m wrong 😂” another fan compared.

“That’s what being a good guy image will do. It shield you for a couple of blunders,” one fan reacted.

“Rafa also got away with having a yacht,” one fan added.

Carlos Alcaraz Reveals Future Plan Of Buying Another Luxury Vessel

Carlos Alcaraz’s Ultima 88 embodies luxury in all forms. It has multiple staterooms for guests (around 8-10 people). It also includes a large outdoor “Ocean Lounge” with sea access. The top speed of the yacht is around 26 knots. The vessel has spacious decks for entertainment purposes.

When asked if he would purchase another yacht in the future, the seven-time Grand Slam champion said:

“I think the 88 is going to be a great one to spend, like, a lot of years with. In the future, we’re talking about 10 to 15 years, if I need extra space, I will probably get a bigger one. But I want to enjoy this one as much as I can.”

Alcaraz has purchased the vessel to relax and spend quality time with friends and family. He also wants to enjoy time on the water and relax mentally.
