Michigan is in its new era with Kyle Whittingham after he replaced Sherrone Moore as the new Wolverines head coach.
Whittingham has been making massive strides when it comes to recruiting in this offseason, as he has managed to secure commitments from 9 highly recruited players in the past 3 weeks, including big names like 4-star OT Jakari Lipsey, 4-star DL Xavier Muhammad, 4-star WR Quentin Burrell, and more.
Most recently, Michigan secured a commitment from 4-star TE Colt Lumpris, a 6’7″, 240 lb. player who had committed to Kalen DeBoer’s Alabama back in December.
“Stuffed by the Big Ten again 😭😭.” One fan reacted.
“He heard what Alabama said about canceling visits for players who wouldn’t agree to their nil terms. High end players don’t want to go to poor schools.” Another fan wrote.
“Bama fans need to get ready for this as the political climate heats up in Alabama … and the south in general .. it might not seem like something now but these kids are still listening to their parents and their parents still watch Fox News and cnn.” Another fan pointed out.
”He saw Marlin Klein get drafted in the 2nd round in front of Max Clare and said I want to actually be developed as a tight end (along with Colston Loveland being a beast as a rookie) Smart decision young man 🫡” another fan shared their thoughts.
“Michigan won a natty in football.. took a couple years off and won a natty in basketball… now they’re like ok back to football. They going crazy with recruits.” Another fan added.
“Everyone talking crap about Michigan. Won the same or more natty’s this decade than your team. Gonna cry cheaters, they get “Caught” then decimate the rest of their schedule so dont cry that excuse. Michigan is a true Blue blood.” another fan added.
Urban Meyer Makes Thoughts Clear on Kyle Whittingham’s Michigan
During a recent appearance on “The Script Podcast” with ex-Ohio State players Cardale Jones and Beanie Wells, during which he shared his thoughts on the state of Michigan football.
While Meyer shared that he does respect the school, which is why he tried to beat the program while acting as the Ohio State head coach.
However, Meyer further shared that he snaps all over people when someone mentions that the school has great players, as he added that respect from his side in terms of academics has taken a hit.
“What’s gone on the last four or five years?” Meyer asked.
Michigan has been facing a lot of issues in the last few years with Jim Harbaugh’s cheating scandal along with Sherrone Moore’s termination for having an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.
