Alabama Crimson Tide wide receiver Ryan Williams joined Kalen DeBoer’s program in 2024. He made his Alabama debut months after DeBoer took over the Crimson Tide following the retirement of the great Nick Saban.
While DeBoer was taking on a job with massive shoes to fill, Williams was coming off a great high school run as a five-star recruit. The star wide receiver made a great first impression in his first season with the Crimson Tide.
He finished his freshman season with 48 receptions for 865 yards and eight touchdowns. Williams made Freshman All-American and First-team All-SEC in 2024. Last season, he finished with 49 receptions for 689 yards and four touchdowns.
Even though Alabama made a better run last season than what most people expected, their roster has the potential to make a deep playoff run. But before the hard work starts in preparation for next season, Williams is enjoying life with his fiancée.
Alexis Hill recently posted pictures and videos on her Instagram stories, highlighting their time together at a Morgan Wallen concert. The couple posed for a selfie taken by Hill as they enjoyed the show from the stands.

Williams’ development this year will dictate his future in professional football. The 19-year-old will be eligible for the NFL draft next year, and he’s already projected to be a top prospect. However, the assessment is based on his current position.
If Williams has a great run with the Alabama Crimson Tide next season, securing big numbers while helping his team win, his draft stock will go up. Regardless, he’s one of the best wide receivers in the country.
Kalen DeBoer Gave An Update on Noah Rogers’ Injury
Earlier this month, DeBoer spoke on wide receiver Noah Rogers’ injury status. The youngster got injured during Alabama’s annual spring game. Head coach Kalen DeBoer stated that he will miss the start of the next season.
“Unfortunately, he suffered an injury that’s going to take a little while to recover,” he said. “It will bleed into the season here a little bit. I’m not going to give a timeline exactly. He won’t be ready to go right when the season starts. We do expect it to be a situation where he will get to be back during the season.”
Rogers transferred to Alabama from NC State. The 6-foot-2, 201-pound WR was carted off the field following the injury.
