The Miami Hurricanes had an incredible 2025 season, coming within one step of winning it all in the national championship game against Indiana at their home venue, Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. Alas, it didn’t happen, but the achievement of Mario Cristobal’s team shouldn’t be underestimated, and it surely wouldn’t, as the ‘Canes are expected to make a great contribution to this year’s NFL incoming class.
Three of their players, Zechariah Love, Rueben Bain Jr., and Francis Mauigoa, are expected to be top 10 picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. Akheem Mesidor is also seen as a potential first-rounder. Carson Beck is sure to turn some heads during the event, while other players like Markel Bell and James Brockmeyer are expected to be picked in the sixth or seventh round, if at all.
Here’s the entire list of players from Miami who have declared for the 2026 NFL Draft:
- Rueben Bain Jr. – DE/Edge
- Francis Mauigoa – OT
- Akheem Mesidor – DE/Edge
- Carson Beck – QB
- Keionte Scott – DB
- Wesley Bissainthe – LB
- Anez Cooper – OL
- Markel Bell – OL
- James Brockmeyer – C
Carson Beck and James Brockmeyer haven’t officially declared for the draft, but the NFL is their only route, as they came to the U for a final season and are out of eligibility.
Carson Beck: Miami “Truly Saved Me and Helped Me Rebuild Into the Man That I Am Today.”
Carson Beck backtracked on his decision to declare for the NFL Draft in 2025, with the expectation that a final season at Miami could change his prospects. The decision seems to have worked. While he’s no longer considered a potential first-rounder, like in his early Georgia days, he’s considered a reliable third or fourth-rounder, which is more than he would’ve gotten last year.
He admitted as much in the aftermath of the championship loss to the Hoosiers, when he told the press:
“365 days ago, I was in just a really dark place, and I was trying to see the light at the end of the tunnel… This year was the best of my life. And not because we made the national championship… but because my whole entire life changed. This university truly saved me and helped me rebuild into the man that I am today.”
The period between now and the draft will be key for Beck, as he will surely benefit from positive interviews and especially from a strong showing at the NFL Combine.
