As the drama unfolds around the University of Michigan’s mishandling of multiple scandals plaguing the program in the last few years, it appears the trouble isn’t subsiding anytime soon. After Paige Shiver’s lawsuit against the University became public, it now appears that a former assistant has made some very clear allegations of his own in a similar lawsuit.
A lawsuit from former Michigan assistant, Chris Partridge, is leaking several alleged secrets that the program would rather not want disclosed. One of the allegations is around the affair between Sherrone Moore and Paige Shiver, which has already cost the former Michigan football head coach dearly.
Partridge claims the University, via AD Warde Manuel, not only knew about the relationship for years, but also kept the information secret, which could end up being deadly for the Michigan program if proven to be true.
As revealed by Trey Wallace, “he (Partridge) alleges a Michigan assistant coach contacted Shiver’s family around December and convinced them to “come forward”,” leading to the situation that Michigan finds themselves in now, with Shiver also filing a lawsuit against the University as their knowledge and lack of action becomes public.
Michigan AD Warde Manuel’s Clock Might be Ticking
Reports suggest that Michigan AD Warde Manuel’s involvement in the entire saga means that he will not be in the position for very long, with a change being made soon.
Regardless of the decision, it appears that the damage might already have been done, with litigation and a broken reputation hurting the program dearly.
