Following his second consecutive US Open title, Hendrickson showcased a heartfelt gesture towards his coach and his wife by gifting them a Can-Am off-road utility vehicle. Cooper’s wife, Rebecca, gave them an emotional shoutout by posting pictures of the vehicle and a selfie of her and Lee. Along with this, she penned a caption on X that read:
“Wow… don’t even have the words. The most thoughtful, generous thing anyone has ever done for us. We’re beyond grateful. Thank you so much, @wyatt_hendrick & Emily!”

Wyatt Hendrickson made his feelings known about winning the US Open
After defeating Demetrius Thomas in just 27 seconds, Wyatt Hendrickson gracefully secured his second consecutive US Open title in the 125kg weight class. Following this, he appeared in the post-fight interview, where he weighed in on winning the title, revealing what helped him deliver an exceptional performance and end the match early.
“I’ve been patient all tournament, I just go with my feelings when I wrestle, it’s more muscle memory, I hit him with a good club and felt like he wasn’t just ready for a shot so I took a shot, ofcourse am aggresive, caught him on his back early,” said Wyatt Hendrickson.
Further talking about the support, he gave a shout-out to his coach, Lee Roper, and his family, saying:
“It feels good. When I was younger and the younger age levels, I always looked up to the senior level guys and I was like, man, like I think I’m good. I’m just looking at myself through a different lens. So I’m really grateful for all the people that have poured into me my wrestling career. Of course, my parents, my mom and dad, they feed me. They love me. They’ve been awesome. My beautiful wife. But someone that doesn’t get enough credit is Coach Lee Roer. He does so much behind the scenes. You guys wouldn’t believe it. Every single guy on the team, whatever they need, he’s there for you.”
