Olympic medalist runner Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone recently spoke about being married to a partner who has enabled personal growth and orderliness in her life. This comes as Levrone gears up to welcome her first child this year.
Levrone recently appeared on the “The Better Mind” podcast, where she spoke about how much her life means more than just the world records and her four Olympic gold medals. She talked to Chloe DeLuca, a fellow track athlete, about how impactful it proved when she married Andre Levrone, a former NFL wide receiver, who thrives on structural order in life.
“I think in everyday life, I’m also married to a very calculated, orderly person, which I honestly, like hearing how my brain functions, I think that’s why I gravitated towards Andre. And it made sense because in the foundation and calculation, I saw someone who was ahead of me in terms of being able to have structure, have order, have all of those things in place,” she said.
She went on to talk about how unique and daunting adapting to motherhood can be, but also spoke about how exciting the journey ahead is.
“For something like motherhood, which is a completely new category to me that I don’t have a foundation for yet, it’s daunting, but it’s also exciting because now I get to figure out what those templates look like and what that new rhythm and routine and structure will be,” she said.
Levrone highlighted that she thrives on new challenges, despite their initial setbacks, and vows to stand tall to the end.
Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone Is No Longer Hunting for Perfection
Sydney took the stage during the 2026 TIME Women of the Year Gala Toast and took the attendees through her ravishing journey to the gold, alongside highlighting that every new scenario in life comes with its own challenges.
She said that aiming for perfection all her life degraded her morale and made her finally quit the hunt and instead embrace the feeling of not having the pressure to be perfect. She then highlighted that she now chooses to focus on bringing excellence to whatever little she does, without putting too much pressure on the result.
Through her social media, Levrone has been consistent in sharing glimpses of her unique endeavors with her fans and the sports community and has been vocal about mental health.
