“I’d wipe that smile off your face.”
The sprinter attempted to plead in front of the officer, saying:
“I really want to work with you, sir. I am a law-abiding citizen. Sir, please don’t allow me to go to jail. Please. Please, sir.”
Richardson’s boyfriend and American sprinter, Christian Coleman, was also arrested at the scene when he pulled in front of his girlfriend’s car to inquire about the situation. He refused to identify himself. The officer also found a glass smoking device in his car and suspected it contained a small amount of cannabis.
