Sha’Carri Richardson is ready to make her first appearance on the track in 2025; however, it is to cheer the young athletes. The American sprinter made her feelings known about visiting the Colgate Women’s Games Finals.
After a roller-coaster 2025 season, the American is now gearing up to bounce back in the 2026 season. She will make a major appearance in the Colgate Women’s Games Finals on February 7, which will be held at the Armory.
The American athlete announced her visit on Instagram by posting a few of her throwback pictures and penning a heartfelt caption in support of the young athletes’ dreams.
“We’re just two weeks out from the 50th Colgate Women’s Games Finals! This event is all about empowering young girls to find their strength and pursue their dreams, on and off the track. I’m so excited to be part of #CWG50, where I can show love to the women who paved the way and celebrate the next generation of athletes. When you give this sport all that you’ve got, you never know how far it can take you,” said Sha’Carri Richardson.
She added:
“If you’re in NYC, come see me on February 7 at The Armory. Tickets are free but required. Grab yours through the link in @ColgateWomensGames bio and follow along for updates. Can’t wait to see you there and watch these amazing young athletes compete!”
The 2025 track season did not unfold as expected for Richardson. She fell short of winning any major titles, except for a gold medal in the 4x100m relay at the World Championships in Tokyo. She also ran in the 100m dash at the World Championships, where she ended up in the fifth position, recording 10.49s.
The 25-year-old also struggled in her season opener at the Golden Grand Prix in May, securing fourth place in the 100m with 11.47s. However, she did earn a silver medal in the 100m dash at the Diamond League in Brussels, registering 11.08s.
Sha’Carri Richardson shared a strong message after her 2025 season
Sha’Carr Richardson concluded her 2025 season after her run at the World Championships in September. Along with being unable to nab notable wins last year, the sprinter also faced issues in her personal life, including being charged with fourth-degree domestic violence with her boyfriend, Christian Coleman.
The incident occurred in July during the USA Track & Field Championships and reportedly resulted in her withdrawal from the semi-finals. After suffering from a year filled with ups and downs, Richardson shared a strong message on her Instagram handle.
Sharing two pictures from her World Championships run, she added a note in the caption that read:
“2025 owes me nothing, but I am thankful for what this year has revealed and allowing the tone to be set for the rest of my life. I am Sha’Carri Richardson & there is so much more to come, just wait and see ⏳! “You have to dig through dirt to get to the treasure,”” wrote Sha’Carri Richardson.
Sha’Carri Richardson recently offered a look into a stylish new hairdo for the 2026 season.
