Nebraska volleyball player Laney Choboy recently offered a glimpse of an outing with her boyfriend, Jeremiah Charles. The latter is a defensive back for the Big Red team.
After competing in the beach and spring seasons for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, she was selected for the USA Volleyball National Team training camp. She joined seven of her Nebraska teammates to participate in the 2026 Women’s National Team Collegiate Training program. Along with this achievement, the player is also enjoying her off-season and is sharing a sneak peek of her outings on social media.
In her recent Instagram story, she posted a mirror selfie with her boyfriend, Charles, at the mirror maze at the Museum of Illusion Dallas. It was a cozy picture of them sharing an adorable peck on the lips. Here is the snippet of her story:

Along with being a stellar defensive back for the Nebraska team, Charles is also a standout track athlete. From competing in triple jumps to long jumps to showcasing his short sprint skills, he is an all-rounder. While demonstrating his baseline speed for football, he crossed the finish line in the 60m dash in 6.95 seconds at the Nebraska Tune-Up.
Choboy, on the other hand, was last seen in action during the spring season, which concluded on April 25 after her team’s clash against Northern Colorado at Chadron. In this matchup, the Huskers claimed an impressive 4-0 sweep against the opponents.
Laney Choboy weighed in on the impact of Nebraska volleyball on her mindset
Laney Choboy recently sat for a conversation with Huurdat Sports, where she was asked about her journey with the Nebraska volleyball team. Opening up about her time with the team, she revealed that it had a huge impact on her mindset. Revealing how it helped her focus more on the mental side of the competition, she said:
“It was more my mentality and just how I was going to go about things and what I was going to let affect me, what I was going to let into my body and my heart, and how I was going to play rather than me working on the technical side, which obviously I did, too, but I think the mental side was a huge difference for me,” said Laney Choboy.
After losing in the regional finals of the 2025 NCAA volleyball following a perfect regular season, Choboy and the Nebraska team are now focused on delivering a stellar performance at the upcoming 2026 national season.
