Following Bo Bassett’s dominance at the 2026 PIAA Wrestling State Championships, his mother, Karissa, shared a heartwarming moment with him, his brother, Keegan, and Bishop McCort wrestler Melvin Miller. Bo, Keegan, and Miller won the championship titles in the 145, 121, and 160-lbs categories, respectively, at Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Bo secured his third PIAA state title after wrestling with Montgomery High School’s Brandt Harer. He pinned the Rutgers University commit in the second period in 2:49. This marked the last high school match for Bo, who has announced his commitment to Virginia Tech. Additionally, the victory also made him an undefeated wrestler in Pennsylvania’s history.
His brother, Keegan, dominated the 121-lbs category after beating Max Dinges of Penns Valley by decision, 4-2. Their fellow Bishop McCort wrestler Miller outpowered four-time PIAA finalist Reagan Milheim in the 160-lbs category by decision, 5-4. Following their notable victories, Karissa expressed pride in all three state champions. She shared a picture alongside the three champions and Bo’s father, Wilhelm (Bill), the head wrestling coach at Bishop McCort Catholic High School. Karissa wrote:
“3 State Champs ! Incredibly grateful.”
“Momma bear 🐻.”
