Jax Forrest and Sarah Hildebrandt Earn No. 1 Seeds As 2026 U.S. Open Wrestling Men’s and Women’s Pre-Seeds Are Released

The 2026 U.S. Open Wrestling event is here, and the pre-seeds for the senior men’s and women’s wrestling have been released, with startling numbers setting the stage for the most anticipated night. The tournament will feature some of the very best matsters across weight classes, as early seeding here offers a potential first look at the matchups. Jax Forrest and Sarah Hildebrandt have earned the No. 1 seed in their respective divisions.

The pre-seedings conducted were based on PIN readings, tournament placements, and one-on-one outcomes. The men’s bracket will see a combination of youth and experience, headlined by Oklahoma’s top-seeded Forrest, who joins a gauntlet of powerhouses that also includes Spencer Lee and Kyle Dake.

The senior women’s division is anchored by the 2024 Olympic champion, Hildebrandt, entering the contest as the undisputed favorite. The lineup also consists of veterans Kayla Miracle and Abigail Nette.

The World Market Center in Las Vegas is set to host the U.S. Open that is scheduled for April 22-26, where the women’s division will kick off the action, followed by the arrival of the men’s contest.
