“Stop Hating” – Fans Furious Over No Mention of Penn State Wrestling In Big Ten Appreciation Graphic Despite Dominant NCAA Season

The Penn State wrestling team was not mentioned by the Big Ten Network during its acknowledgment of the victories of programs within the conference. This has infuriated fans, who rushed to the support of the wrestling team.

The Big Ten this week secured a rare sweep of basketball and football titles, with the Michigan Wolverines winning the men’s basketball title, the Indiana Hoosiers winning the football title, and the UCLA Bruins winning the women’s basketball title.

The Big Ten Network shared an appreciation post for the three teams. However, Penn State’s wrestling team was left out.

One of the fans pointed it out and wrote:

“What did Wrestling and Women’s Hockey ever do to you guys? Stop hating, brag about them all.”

Another user on X highlighted the achievements of the Nittany Lions, commenting:

“Why no reference to the most dominant NCAA sports team in history…PSU wrestling? 5 straight titles & 12 of last 15 is certainly worthy of inclusion!”

One of the followers edited the graphic to include the wrestling team and wrote:

“Fixed it for you.”

Penn State Wrestling Coach Cael Sanderson Opened Up About Why This Team Is Different

The Penn State wrestling team produced powerful performances at the 2026 Big Ten championships, securing an impressive 184 points to stand atop the podium. Penn State wrestling coach Cael Sanderson spoke about what separated his team from others.

“I don’t know how to really compare teams, but this is a really good team. The character, determination, everything is outstanding. We’re happy and definitely grateful to have a good weekend like this,” said Cael Sanderson.

Penn State then went on to score 181.5 points to secure its fifth consecutive NCAA title.
