    Big Ten Indoor Track & Field Championships 2026: Day 2 Results, Highlights & More, ft. Aiden Carter’s Win in Men’s Heptathlon 60m Hurdles

    Friday, February 27, was Day 2 of the Big Ten Indoor Track & Field Championships 2026 at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion. The three-day event commenced on February 26 and will end on February 28.

    After stunning displays on the first day, Day 2 also saw a bunch of quality performances. Oregon currently leads the team standings with 48 points, while Iowa stands in the second position with 23 points. Michigan and Wisconsin are third, tied at 17 points.

    One of the most captivating performances on Day 2 was of Oregon’s Aiden Carter, who competed in the men’s heptathlon 60m hurdles, registering 7.99s. Athletes from Nebraska and Iowa, including Luke Noland and Sal Capaldo, trailed behind Carter, posting 8.15s and 8.23s, respectively.

    The women’s long jump final was also a treat to watch, with athletes competing head-to-head to stand atop the podium. After a few attempts, Sophia Beckmon proved her billing by taking a leap of 6.77 m and finishing in the first position. In the second position stood Oregon’s Liisa-Maria Lusti, who registered 6.40 m. Michigan’s Amare Harlan secured a third-place finish.

    Day 2 featured multiple finals, including women’s weight throw, women’s long jump, women’s high jump, men’s long jump, and more. In addition to this, heats of several events, including women’s 60m, men’s 60m, women’s 800m, men’s 60m hurdles, and more, also took place.
