Amber Glenn Gets Stunned by Madonna’s Message After Winning Gold at Winter Olympics 2026

Amber Glenn is still trying to process arguably the most surreal 24 hours of her life. The American figure skater not only became a gold medalist at the 2026 Winter Olympics but also received an unexpected message from global pop icon Madonna, which left her shocked.

Glenn played a significant role in Team USA’s gold-medal victory in the figure skating team event at the ongoing Milan-Cortina Games. She competed in the women’s free skate on February 8, where she suffered a shaky start, facing a few issues in her triple Axel and the triple flip-triple toe loop combination.

However, she regained her pace and eventually finished third with a total of 138.62 points, 70.91 in the technical score and 67.71 in the components area. After winning gold in the team event, what happened next caught her completely off guard.

Taking to TikTok, she posted a video of her happy dancing in Italy with a screenshot of Madonna’s message. The screenshot showcased the pop icon congratulating the skater on her achievement at the 2026 Games by reacting to her Olympics Instagram stories. Replying to the reactions, Glenn wrote:

“Ahnn thank you so much. Can’t wait to skate to ‘Like a Prayer at the Olympics!!'”

Madonna responded with a sweet reply that read:

“I can’t wait to watch!! I’m so proud of you!”

Stunned by the message, Amber Glenn couldn’t contain her excitement as she penned a caption that read:

“An Olympic gold medal & having Madonna telling me she’s proud of me all within 24HRs.”

Amber Glenn Opens Up About Her Performance at the 2026 Winter Olympics

After helping her team win a gold medal in the team event on Sunday, where Japan and Italy finished second and third, respectively, Amber Glenn spoke to the media about her participation at the 2026 Winter Games. Showing excitement about being present at the Olympics, she said she was happy about fighting during her performance and staying committed till the end.

Addressing the shaky start, she exuded pride in herself for being able to overcome her mistakes and fight in the second half of the event.

“I’m happy I was able to fight through the program and stay committed to everything. I’ve been practicing here incredibly; I’ve been feeling really good, and I think I just had some fatigue, and I need to really manage that going into the individual event. But I’m really proud of the mental strength that I’ve built over the years to be able to get through some mistakes in the beginning and really fight in the second half,” said Amber Glenn.

Up next, Amber Glenn will compete in the individual free skate short program on February 17.
