Bad Bunny’s halftime performance was an homage to his country, Puerto Rico, putting focus on the country’s traditions and the love for dance. Cardi B, Karol G, Pedro Pascal, Jessica Alba and Alix Earle also joined Bady Bunny during the performance.

“I wasn’t looking for album of the year. I wasn’t looking to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show,” Bad Bunny said. “I was just trying to connect with my roots, connect with my people, connect with myself. You always have to be proud of who you are and where you’re from. But don’t let that limit where you can go.”

The most noteworthy section of the entire performance was when Bad Bunny started with his closing song “DtMF.” The visual in Levi’s Stadium was incredible as performers came out holding flags of every country from North, Central and South America. A powerful message was displayed:

“The only thing more powerful than hate is love.”

Bad Bunny delivered the whole halftime performance in Spanish.
