Travis Etienne Sparks $6.2Bn Move Rumors With Cryptic Social Media Activity

The Jacksonville Jaguars’ dual-threat running back Travis Etienne Jr. has recently been in the middle of a whirlwind of transfer rumors ahead of the 2026 NFL season. His recent social media activity, as noted by football fanatics alike, has sparked a new transfer rumor involving a heavyweight NFL franchise.

In a recent social media development, the 2021 draft pick was recently seen following Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes on Instagram.

While some people may call linking Etienne to the $6.2Bn franchise, as per Forbes, on the backdrop of a simple Instagram follow quite a stretch, Chiefs writer Pete Sweeney has also reported that Etienne Jr. has shown interest in joining the Kansas-based side once he becomes a free agent.

Etienne’ 2025 NFL season saw him garner a total of 229 carries for 999 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns while also covering 1,107 yards over a span of 15 games. His standout last season could very well help him materialize a deal with the Chiefs.

Which Other Teams Could Potentially Land RB Travis Etienne Jr.?

After signing a four-year, $12.8 million contract with the Jaguars in July 2021, Etienne’s free agent status has a lot of teams eyeing his signature.

Despite reportedly showing legitimate interest in joining the Kansas City Chiefs, the Chicago Bears could be another potential destination for Travis, considering their cap room and a dire need for a running back.

The likes of the Carolina Panthers, the Tennessee Titans, and the New Orleans Saints could all potentially be his next landing spot, all for different reasons.

Considering his younger brother Trevor was drafted by the Panthers in 2025, a familial connection could sway Travis’ decision. The Tennessee Titans, on the other hand, have been rumored to be trying to sign running back Kenneth Walker III from the Seahawks, and if that doesn’t pan out, Travis could emerge as an apt option.

Meanwhile, Fox reporter Greg Auman’s recent string of offseason predictions has Travis joining the New Orleans Saints, something that could potentially materialize under the stewardship of head coach Kellen Moore.
