When New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart introduced Donald Trump during a political rally in New York, he received a lot of flak from other players, even his own teammates. Trump, an accused pedophile with connections to Jeffrey Epstein and was found liable of rape, is one of the most controversial and divisive presidents in history, with a lot of people, including players, feeling strongly against him.
However, some players are staying apolitical, such as Dez Bryant. The former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver chimed in on the matter on X and stated he does not understand all the hate for Jaxson Dart, as he was just introducing Donald Trump. He stated that controversial or not, he should not get hate for those beliefs.
“I don’t know..I just live by a code..As long as it’s not interfering with my sh*t..do whatever you want because you’ve got to take whatever you’re on up with God. I’m too much of a sinner to be judgmental and political.” he explained.
In his tweet, he noted that politics and religion are difficult matters in sports and this is basically a lose-lose situation, adding that people, including Jaxson Dart, had the right to do whatever they wanted.
Fans Push Back on Dez Bryant’s Jaxson Dart Take, Called ‘Selfish’
Given how unpopular and divisive Donald Trump is right now, from the high prices of everyday items to the war in Iran to his connection to Jeffrey Epstein, fans pushed back on Dez Bryant trying to defend Jaxson Dart
“That just tells me you wouldn’t have marched for Civil Rights. You’re good with oppression as long as it doesn’t impact you in that bubble you live in. But you felt the need to push up on the people who are sacrificing for the sake of humanity. Keep finding it hard to understand. I don’t live by that code.” one person said.
“This……..is not it. This some ignorant selfish sh*t to honest.” another one chimed in.
“He Just bombed 200+ iranian school children and you’re doing the “it’s not that deep” gimmick,” one person added.
“So you’re okay with Donald Trump being a pedophile, rapist, racist, and a criminal?,” one Steelers fan said.
“You must be ok with minorities getting killed and terrorized. Orders that are authorized by Trump. Do a simple google search all the crazy shit that this man is causing to save his own ass.,” another person replied.
“Trump is a Constitution shredding , racist, megalomaniacal, lying, narcissist, sexual Predator, felon. Who is covering up the Epstein files to save his own ass and those of his political donors. What’s the big deal?” one person asked.
Bryant last played for the Baltimore Ravens in 2020 and was a three-time Pro Bowler who led the NFL in receiving touchdowns in 2014. His take was largely apolitical.
