Tom Brady Admits To Having Doubts About $25,000,000-Worth Former NFL Star After Blockbuster Trade

With seven Super Bowl rings, it is safe to say that Las Vegas Raiders co-owner Tom Brady knows how to win championships. The football legend has had many other legendary teammates over the years, and one of them was wide receiver Randy Moss, who has a net worth of $25 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. However. it seems that Brady had some reservations regarding Moss when he first came to the New England Patriots.

The trade happened in 2007, when Moss had not been in the best shape of his life. This soon had Tom Brady having some doubts about how he might play as they approached their OTAs. However, as the legendary QB revealed during his appearance on the “New Heights” podcast, Moss did prove his doubts wrong a few weeks later during training camp.

“The trade goes down in ’07, and we got Randy (Moss) and all of a sudden, it was like, ‘Well what can he do?'” Brady said (48:00). “He comes into OTAs and he wasn’t in the best of shape in OTAs. … So, he’s kind of getting guarded by some people in OTAs, by some guys he shouldn’t be guarded by. And I’m kind of like, when is he going to turn it on? All a sudden, we get to training camp, and we run the conditioning test, and Randy comes, he takes his shirt off, he’s lean, like in shape. He’s running the conditioning test like a deer.”

Brady also talked about giving Moss his deepest throw during that training camp that led to him getting injured and missing the preseason. However, Moss would soon redeem himself when he returned, as he caught a massive throw from Brady for a 20-yard gain.

Tom Brady Also Addresses Bill Belichick Debate

Tom Brady is also part of a big debate on who should get the most credit for the Patriots’ success: him or head coach Bill Belichick. This was brought up by host Jason Kelce during the podcast, and the quarterback answered:

“It’s just a dumb analogy. It’s like, what’s more important, the left tackle or the center? I don’t know.” (1:09:11)

Belichick won six Super Bowls as the head coach of the New England Patriots, and all of them were with Tom Brady as his QB. This has led many to debate whether the main reason for their championship success was Brady or Belichick.
