‘Hope No One Ever Picks Him’: Fans Left Unimpressed As Brandon Aiyuk Makes Bold Commanders Claim Amid 49ers Saga

San Francisco 49ers star Brandon Aiyuk has once again taken social media by storm with another Washington Commanders content. Aiyuk previously shared a “Go Commanders” post, showing his interest in joining his former Arizona State quarterback Jayden Daniels there.

On Thursday, Aiyuk shared another short video on Instagram where he seems to be enjoying the fact that he will be a Commander soon. He’s making some dance steps to the tune of hip-hop music to show his excited mood.

“Mood Cuz IM gone be a Commander soon,” he wrote in the overlay text.

Despite the video, there is no official confirmation from either the Commanders or the 49ers that he is going to be traded there. This is why many fans are wondering if he is acting delusional over the prospect of joining Daniels & Co.

“I can’t lie. I hope no one ever picks him up. Dude, so unprofessional. Don’t ever let him play in the NFL again 💪” one fan wrote.

“so uh…what exactly is happening here?” one fan asked.

“I hope this entire thing never ends he’s actually hilarious,” another remarked.

“This is BAD CTE,” one fan added.

““Someone must be in his ear he hasn’t been in social media recently” people like him you can’t give any advice too he’s just to immature for that. Trust me Brandon thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room at all times,” one fan wrote.

“why would anyone sign a clear liability when his production doesn’t even justify the behavior.. somebody needs to tell him so he can tighten up,” one fan added.

“We’re watching a manic episode play out,” one fan wrote.

Brandon Aiyuk Opened Himself Up to Major Exposure Against 49ers

The 49ers have already voided the guaranteed money that Brandon Aiyuk was supposed to get for the 2026 season. Following the latest antics from Aiyuk, the 49ers can get more money back.

Aiyuk signed a four-year, $120 million contract with the 49ers in 2024. He was also paid a $23 million signing bonus.

NFL insider Matt Maiocco stated that the 49ers can target Aiyuk’s $18.4 million payday under the NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement.

“It also enables the 49ers to get some money back, a lot of money back,” the insider said on his YouTube channel. “I would put it somewhere between 13.8 million and 18.4 million. So, on the $23 million signing bonus, which is basically an advance for future performance, it comes out to $4.6 million per year for those five years.

“So if the 49ers voided his contract a year ago in late July, they could get as much as 18.4 million back. They could get it if they just go, okay, he had the two years, and so they’d get 13.8 million back, whatever the case may be. The 49ers are certainly going after that money.”

According to the CBA, teams can reclaim prorated money given to the player as a signing bonus if he fails to report or participate for the team. In here, that could be anywhere between “13.8 million and 18.4 million.”

The issue between the 49ers and Aiyuk started after the wide receiver stopped reporting to the team for his rehab and refused to participate in mandatory team meetings and training camps. Aiyuk has taken a dig at the 49ers front office, calling them “dumb” and “stupid” for paying him so much and not releasing him so that he cannot play for any other team.
