Ravens Offensive Coordinator Search: ESPN Analyst Lists Top Candidates To Replace Todd Monken

After firing longtime head coach John Harbaugh, the Baltimore Ravens have found themselves also looking for a new offensive coordinator. They also lost Todd Monken, their now-former OC, who is reportedly interviewing for a second time for the Cleveland Browns head coaching job.

While the Ravens have now reportedly found a new head coach in Jesse Minter, who was the Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator, this means that the head coaching position is still wide open. Minter, as a former DC, is expected to bring a more defensive focus, which means that the OC job is much more important now over there in Baltimore. The question is, who should the Ravens hire?

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler revealed his picks on who the Ravens have already interviewed, and these include Matt Nagy, Kliff Kingsbury and Joe Brady, all of whom were veteran offensive coordinators. Many believe that they can be good fits to guide a team that is led by two-time MVP Lamar Jackson. He also added that Denver Broncos OC Davis Webb, who has a connection to Minter, should also be a good candidate if Denver lets him.

Whoever gets the job, however, he will be inheriting two of the most talented players in the league right now in quarterback Lamar Jackson and running back Derrick Henry, who many believe were wasted under John Harbaugh. ESPN’s Ben Solak believes that because of these two, the Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator opening is the best OC opening in the league right now.

Other Possible Baltimore Ravens Offensive Coordinator Candidates

With the Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator job being very attractive, there are also several other offensive coordinators that the Ravens might want to look into.

    Declan Doyle

He is currently the offensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears, and after their surprising run this season, many are already paying attention to what he could do.

    Tee Martin

The Ravens already have him as their quarterbacks coach, so he already has an established relationship with Lamar Jackson, which is very important. Promoting him to offensive coordinator could mean that the players themselves might be comfortable with a familiar face. He also used to be the OC for USC, so he should know what to do if he gets promoted.

    Jerrod Johnson

Another up and coming young coach, he is currently the Houston Texans QB coach, so him being elevated to an OC should be the next step. He has helped various quarterbacks, and helping Lamar Jackson get out of his slump could be something he might pull off.
