Oscar Delp NFL Draft Projection: 3 Potential Landing Spots for Georgia’s Tight End

One interesting tight end prospect heading into the 2026 NFL Draft is Georgia tight end, Oscar Delp.

Delp, a 6-foot-5-inch, 245-pound tight end, played four seasons with the Bulldogs from 2022-2025, and was often under-utilized in the passing game. Over his four-year career, he recorded 70 receptions for 854 yards and nine receiving touchdowns.

Though teams have labeled him as a blocking tight end, he proved at his Pro Day that he has the athleticism to be an effective pass-catching tight end. He clocked a forty-yard dash time of anywhere from 4.44-4.49, had a 10-foot broad jump, and a 38-inch vertical jump. His 40 and vertical jump would have ranked top five at the NFL combine for his position.

Heading into the 2026 NFL Draft, Delp is expected to be a mid-late round draft pick. Let’s take a look at three teams that could potentially select Delp in this year’s draft.

3 Potential Landing Spots for Georgia TE Oscar Delp

    #1 – Kansas City Chiefs

Oscar Delp could wait to be a starting tight end as a rookie, and that’s fine. What better place to join than the Kansas City Chiefs?

Travis Kelce is back for season number 14, and has posted back-to-back 800+ yard receiving seasons. Delp could be Kelce’s backup this season (and potentially another) and eventually take over as the starter once Kelce retires if he fits in to the system.

    #2 – Denver Broncos

There’s been growing speculation that the Denver Broncos will add a tight end this offseason and they have yet to do so. This could suggest that they may want to get younger at the position after signing veteran free agent Evan Engram prior to the 2025 season.

Delp could be a second or third string tight end and work his way up the ladder if he can outwork the veteran tight end group in Denver.

    #3 –  Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins re-signed tight end Greg Dulcich this offseason but leading tight end from last season, Darren Waller is a free agent. The Dolphins are in a complete rebuild mode, but have a total of 11 draft picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. Could they use a mid-round pick and get younger at the tight end position by selecting a prospect like Delp? Maybe.
