Micah Parsons, Packers Fans Slam NFL Top 100 over Jordan Love’s Ranking

The NFL has been rolling out its annual list of the Top 100 players over the past several days. While none of the picks have come without fans debating whether they were right or wrong, one such ranking has drawn Micah Parsons’s attention.

Packers quarterback Jordan Love was placed 72nd on the list ahead of Tampa Bay’s Baker Mayfield (77), AJ Brown (80), Travis Kelce (79), and Packers teammate Josh Jacobs (74).

Micah Parsons made his opinion on Love’s ranking clear in a post on X (formerly Twitter), implying Love deserved to be higher on the list because there aren’t 71 players in the NFL who are better than the 27-year-old.

Packers fans also joined their defensive superstar in campaigning against Love’s lowly rating.

Micah Parsons Speaks On Alabama Recruiting Attempt

While Parsons left college football as a Penn State legend, Nick Saban’s Alabama did try its hand at bringing the defensive stalwart over to the SEC.

In an interview with one star that the Crimson Tide did not miss on, Derrick Henry, Parsons spoke on the recruiting dilemma, saying:

“I’m going to tell you right now, and this is the god’s honest truth. I went to Bama for four days. I went out there. I said, ‘Let me go see what it’s like down south.’ I’m from up north. It was so hot. The workout conditions were so treacherous that I said, ‘There’s no way in hell I can survive up here.’”

While Parsons showed appreciation for Alabama and Nick Saban’s workout regime, the Packers star was deterred by the conditions the Crimson Tide trained in.

“I showed up at 6 a.m.,” Parsons said. “They did like 31-10s. I said, ‘Oh my God!’ And then they did extra if you left earlier.”

Parsons eventually went on to win the Big Ten Linebacker of the Year award, a First-Team All-Big 10 selection, and was a Consensus All-American.
