NFL legend Tom Brady aimed a cheeky dig at Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels ahead of their Fanatics Flag Football Classic on Saturday.
At a promotional news conference for the event on Thursday, Brady, who is worth $300 million, according to Forbes, joked about Daniels’ mother’s involvement in his career while the Commanders QB was on stage with him.
“I haven’t seen Jayden on the field in 7 or 8 months,” Brady said. “I’m just happy his mom let him play.”
Brady was referring to the time Daniels missed in the 2025 season due to his injuries. The Washington QB dealt with a knee injury early in the season before suffering a gruesome left elbow dislocation later in the year.
Brady also referenced Daniels’ mother, Regina Jackson, who serves as the Washington QB’s agent and business manager, and is even believed to influence other aspects of his personal life.
Last season, Daniels completed 60.6% of his passes for 1,262 yards, eight touchdowns, and three interceptions. He also rushed for 278 yards and two touchdowns in seven games. The Commanders finished with a dismal 5-12 record.
