NFL Free Agency Predictions: Top 10 Players Who Could Change Teams in 2026

Free agency is on the horizon in the NFL, which means a slew of players could switch teams in early March. This year, the market isn’t as deep as in previous years. However, after a stunning coaching cycle with multiple once-in-a-generation changes, a quieter but far from silent free agency period is on deck.

Here’s a look at the top players who could be on the move in March.

Top 10 Free Agency Players Who Could Move

    #10 – Trey Hendrickson, Edge

Trey Hendrickson was kept in Cincinnati in 2025 thanks to a one-year deal. However, the pass rusher with 17.5 sacks in two of his last three seasons is now seemingly slotted to head elsewhere.

    Potential Fit: Dallas Cowboys

    #9 – Von Miller, Edge

Von Miller, the Super Bowl 50 MVP, quietly put together a vintage season with nine sacks, his single-season record dating back to 2021’s 9.5 sacks that were split between the Broncos and Rams. His next team could be in line for another notable output.

    Potential Fit: Jacksonville Jaguars

    #8 – Khalil Mack, Edge

Khalil Mack earned 5.5 sacks in 11 starts in 2025. If he can have one more season with perfect attendance, Mack’s next team could be in line for a big boost. Of course, his advanced age comes with questions.

    Potential Fit: Carolina Panthers

    #7 – Alec Pierce, WR

Alec Pierce is coming off his first 1,000-yard season and is on the move. Still in his mid-20s, Pierce offers the chance for his next team to fix their receiver room for the next half-decade.

    Potential Fit: Baltimore Ravens

    #6 – Dallas Goedert, TE

Dallas Goedert had 11 receiving touchdowns in 2025 and is projected to be a free agent, according to Spotrac. Goedert could be a perfect 2026 boost to an offense in the red zone, not unlike a certain version of Travis Kelce.

    Potential Fit: Denver Broncos

    #5 – Mike Evans, WR

Mike Evans is 11/12 on 1,000-yard seasons in his time in the NFL. His next team has every reason to love those odds. At 32 years old, Evans won’t be a player that teams should think about in the long term, but there could be one more 1,000-yard season left for Evans to give.

    Potential Fit: San Francisco 49ers

    #4 – Tyreek Hill, WR

The Cheetah is set to be a free agent for the first time in his career. He has earned at least 1,700 yards in two of his last four seasons. However, a disastrous leg injury leaves a level of doubt for the receiver. Still, plenty of teams are expected to have interest.

    Potential Fit: Kansas City Chiefs

    #3 – Rashid Shaheed, WR

Rashid Shaheed exploded with the New Orleans Saints before a mid-season trade saw him help the Seattle Seahawks win a Super Bowl. Shaheed is still somewhat early in his career, so his next team could be set for a half-decade.

    Potential Fit: Buffalo Bills

    #2 – Travis Etienne, RB

Travis Etienne had arguably the best season of his up-and-down career. However, after a 1,000-yard season on the ground, the running back has shown that he can help spell any quarterback in a troublesome moment.

    Potential Fit: Minnesota Vikings

    #1 – Bobby Wagner, LB

Bobby Wagner is still kicking well into his 30s, and the linebacker continues to produce. Last season, he finished top five in tackles, making him the top free agent of the 2026 NFL Draft class.

    Potential Fit: San Francisco 49ers
