More than half the NFL teams have changed their offensive coordinators ahead of the next season. The 2025 NFL season was full of ups and downs for several teams, and as a result, they’ve made some major changes.
Teams that didn’t get the desired results or those who felt like it was time for an update on one of the most important coaching jobs in the sport have brought in new offensive coordinators, and some of the changes are surprising.
Brian Daboll, who got his first head coaching job from the New York Giants, is back to being an offensive coordinator. Daboll was the head coach from 2022 to 2025, and he’s now back to his offensive coordinator job.
He has more experience in this position, having coached the Browns, Dolphins, Chiefs, and the Bills in the past. He has now joined the Tennessee Titans as their offensive coordinator. Another surprising change was made by the Seattle Seahawks.
In this case, the Seahawks didn’t have an option but to look for a new offensive coordinator as Klint Kubiak, who helped them win the Super Bowl this year, accepted the Las Vegas Raiders’ offer to become their next head coach.
There are several other notable changes in the NFL for the offensive coordinator position. ESPN’s Adam Schefter recently posted the complete list on X.
Which NFL Teams Have New Offensive Coordinators in 2026?
The Los Angeles Rams recently joined the growing list of teams with new offensive coordinators. Their former OC, Mike LaFleur, took the head coaching job with the Arizona Cardinals, which made the Rams promote pass-game coordinator Nate Scheelhaase to the offensive coordinator role.
Here’s the complete list of 21 teams that have changed their offensive coordinators ahead of the next season.
- Titans: Brian Daboll
- Chargers: Mike McDaniel
- Chiefs: Eric Bieniemy
- Lions: Drew Petzing
- Dolphins: Bobby Slowik

Dave Ragone was previously the quarterbacks coach for the Los Angeles Rams, and now he’ll serve as a co-offensive coordinator alongside Scheelhaase and a quarterbacks coach for the team.
Interestingly, Scheelhaase had interviewed for five different head coaching jobs during the hiring cycle. While the interviews didn’t pan out the way he’d have expected, he’s making a fresh start with the same team this year.
