MetLife Stadium is set to host the biggest stars in world soccer as Spain and Argentina have come into town for the FIFA World Cup Final on Sunday.
However, before they take the field, a gesture from Argentina after its thrilling semifinal win against England has drawn the attention of the White House. The White House has reportedly given Argentina the “green light” to use a banner protesting England’s sovereignty over the Malvinas, should La Albiceleste win on Sunday.
NFL analyst Timo Riske called out the White House and FIFA President Gianni Infantino for not taking any action against Argentina in a social media post on X (formerly Twitter).
The post comes after Argentina players waved a banner in front of their fans on Wednesday opposing the British control of the Malvinas Islands, with the words “Los Malvinas Son Argentinas,” translating to “The Malvinas Are Argentine.”

However, the seven-time Super Bowl champ has been keeping up with the World Cup as well, occasionally sharing his excitement through X posts. One such moment was Lionel Messi bringing his team back from the brink of defeat in the semifinal against England.
In what seemed like a low-scoring thriller, England were in full control for 85 minutes with a final appearance just moments away. However, Argentina came back roaring with two clutch goals, including an added-time winner, to upset the horde of fans present at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Whether Brady will be present at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final at MetLife is yet to be seen. The match will kick off at 2:00 PM ET and will feature a halftime show led by pop stars Shakira, Justin Bieber, and more.
