“John Harbaugh’s Gonna Be Mad”: Fans Rip Cam Skattebo After Awkward Landing During Backflip Stunt Amid Ankle Injury Rehab

After a gruesome injury in a divisional rivalry matchup against the Eagles, Cam Skattebo has been on the rehabbing journey with his eyes set on getting back to 100% fitness ahead of the 2026 NFL season.

In fact, Skattebo was so confident he had completely overcome the open tibia fracture and ankle dislocation from last year that he failed an attempt at a backflip during an appearance at Fanatics Fest.

While Skattebo immediately got up from the fall, the clip of him landing awkwardly is enough to give Giants fans a scare with just a couple of months left for kickoff. As the video went viral, several fans took to the comments to express their opinions.

Giants Expected To Be Healthy Ahead Of Upcoming Season

While the New York Giants fell short of expectations last season with starting quarterback Russell Wilson getting benched halfway through for rookie Jaxson Dart, they ended the year with several standouts on the Injured Reserve.

Besides Skattebo, wideout Malik Nabers tore his ACL and suffered a damaged meniscus in his right knee in Week 4. Quarterback Jaxson Dart went through multiple concussions and had to sit out a game after the most severe one against the Chicago Bears.

OT Evan Neal, linebacker Darius Muasau, and safety Tyler Nubin also spent time away from the team dealing with various injuries. However, John Harbaugh is expected to have the entire roster at his disposal as he begins his Giants coaching stint.

With the FIFA World Cup final between Argentina and Spain at MetLife, these injuries have also sparked conversations about doing away with turf permanently and replacing it with grass.
