Stefon Diggs had a great run with the New England Patriots in 2025, which included a Super Bowl appearance. This offseason would’ve been his time to secure a big paycheck and sign with another team. However, he is involved in several controversies and legal troubles.
Diggs is facing sexual assault allegations made by social media influencer Christopher “Chris” Blake Griffith. He alleges that Diggs drugged him and assaulted him in May 2023 at his Maryland home. Amid the legal trouble, Diggs received support from Cardi B, the mother of his child. As per Griffith, Cardi is only speaking out because she doesn’t know the whole truth.
“A liar told her I was lying and she believed it,” Griffith told TMZ. “I feel like, how many kids were born last year with the last name Diggs? A plethora? He can’t be telling all the truth. I don’t think she would have signed up for that.”
Cardi B and Diggs have been in an on-again, off-again relationship. They welcomed a baby boy together in November 2025, and Cardi was often spotted at Diggs’ games around that time. They broke up around the Super Bowl weekend.
Amid the ongoing legal chaos in Diggs’ life, Cardi went off on Diggs’ accuser in the comments of an Instagram post.
“You supposed to submit your whole entire phone STEFON TEAM ASK TO submit the messages, not the other way around. It’s called discovery.” Soon after, she accused Griffith of lying, believing Diggs to be in the right.
“he is not asking to get it dismissed. Where are you even getting that for the whole point of suing is to go to court and prove he was lying …This man did 3 interviews, change his story 2 times, and never provided NOT ONE receipt…but you right wait till trial start,” she wrote.
Cardi openly supporting Diggs came as a surprise to many, but it has done little to calm things down.
Stefon Diggs’ Accuser on How the Situation Became so Chaotic
In the video posted by TMZ, Griffith was asked if he sees a possible reconciliation with Stefon Diggs despite everything that has happened and what led them to this situation.
Griffith said that he gave him a “pass” a few years ago, hoping that he’d apologize and they’d move on from it. But it never happened.
“Which is why we’re operating around the litigation that exists currently,” he said.
Griffith is hopeful that the truth will come out now that they’ve gone to court.
