At Least One Suspect Wanted As $30,000,000 Worth Saquon Barkley Falls Victim to Home Burglary: Report

Saquon Barkley was the victim of a home invasion on Saturday morning. The Eagles star’s home in the Malvern section of Tredyffrin Township was burglarized by two individuals, according to Tredyffrin Township Police.

According to a social media post shared by the official county police account on Instagram, a call was made from Barkley’s house early Saturday morning to report the burglary. At least one suspect had broken into the house, Tredyffrin Township Police Captain Tyler Moyer told The Inquirer.

However, suspects had fled before police could reach the residence. All the residents of the house were unharmed, police said. According to the Inquirer, no arrests have been made yet.

Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe put out the following statement after the incident:

“We are incredibly grateful that the Barkley family was not injured during this incident”

It is not clear whether the suspects managed to take anything from the house, per CBS.

Can Saquon Barkley Regain 2024 Form?

After an impressive season in which he broke Terrell Davis’ record for the most rushing yards in a single season, including playoffs, putting up 2,504, Barkley was ranked No. 1 on the NFL’s Top 100 list heading into last season.

However, injuries ruined his hopes of repeating the feat as the Philadelphia star could only put up 1140 rushing yards last season, combined with nine touchdowns, a down year by his standards.

The Eagles’ front line also wasn’t as effective as it was in their Super Bowl season, with Lane Johnson replacing Jason Kelce at center and Jordan Mailata, among others, missing games.

Kevin Patullo’s time as offensive coordinator is done, and Nick Sirriani will now rely on Sean Mannion to revive the offense. The former Green Bay Packers assistant will also have to deal with the loss of A.J. Brown after his trade to the Patriots.

With no reported injuries, a new offensive coordinator, and Chris Kuper taking over offensive line coaching duties, Barkley will hope to recover his best form.
