Green Bay Packers linebacker Micah Parsons publicly called out NFL fans and spectators for how they are viewing Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown after his team’s most recent moves.
On Friday, coach Nick Sirianni’s Philadelphia-based franchise traded up during the first round of this year’s NFL Draft to snag USC Trojans wide receiver Makai Lemon in a deal with the Dallas Cowboys.
Ultimately, the Eagles took Lemon with the 20th overall pick in the first round of the draft, and after this selection, onlookers are now wishing for Brown to leave the team since Lemon is already there. Parsons took offense to this, as he went over his X/Twitter account to post a statement on the matter, sharing his disbelief at the disrespect that Brown is garnering from fans.
“It’s amusing how many Eagles fans believe Aj Brown is the problem!,” Parsons exclaimed.
Parsons is coming off his fifth year of professional football, but first with coach Matt LaFleur’s Packers squad. In the 2025 campaign, Parsons and company finished with an overall record of 9-7-1, as this was his first run with the team after having spent his first four years with the Cowboys. Brown has played all two years of his NFL tenure with the Eagles, but may be on the move this offseason.

In a video uploaded by 94WIP on YouTube on Friday, a press conference for Philadelphia Eagles executive vice president and general manager Howie Roseman is seen, where he was asked for his thoughts on the process that led to the Eagles trading up for Makai Lemon.
“We just felt like this was a player that we wanted to go up and get just based on where our board was at that time, where we were picking; just felt like it made a lot of sense based on our board. And, obviously, when you have a player that you like that’s ranked higher on your board than where you’re picking, you think at every pick that he’s gonna be selected. You know, that’s just the way the draft is,” Roseman shared. (0:37)
“You think everyone’s thinking the way that you are. And so, certainly for us, we didn’t wanna sit in our hands. We wanted to go get ’em. And so, that’s why we made the trade,” he continued.
