Is Philadelphia Trading AJ Brown? Insider Reveals Eagles’ Price For $96,000,000 Star

The Philadelphia Eagles have reasons to trade AJ Brown after the wide receiver expressed dissatisfaction with how the offense was run in 2025. This was followed by offseason comments from head coach Nick Sirianni, who revealed that he’s uncertain if Brown will return in 2026.

Meanwhile, general manager Howie Roseman expressed interest in keeping Brown with the Eagles, but he would also be open to listening to trade offers on the wide receiver.

According to NFL insider Albert Breer, the Eagles’ asking price for Brown is high. They would want a first-round pick and a top-100 pick.

Brown signed a three-year, $96 million extension in April 2024. While he’s under contract with the team until the 2029 season, there have been rumors about a potential trade. Brown caught 194 receptions for 2,952 yards and 18 touchdowns in his first two seasons. Last season, he caught 78 receptions for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns.

The Eagles lost in their wild-card round game against the San Francisco 49ers as they failed to defend their championship.

Patriots Emerging Landing Spot For AJ Brown

According to MassLive’s Mark Daniels and Karen Guregian, the New England Patriots, who fell short of winning Super Bowl LX, are interested in bringing AJ Brown aboard and pair him with Stefon Diggs. But for that to happen, the Patriots would require Diggs’ approval to restructure his contract.

The Patriots need a wide receiver for Drake Maye who’ll eye to return to Super Bowl next year after falling short of the title against the Seattle Seahawks last month. Meanwhile, it helps that Brown has a close relationship with Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel. They were together with the Tennessee Titans.

The trade for Brown becomes all the more significant if the Patriots are thinking about moving on from Diggs. If they trade the All-Pro receiver, it would save them $16.8 million on salary cap.

Meanwhile, if the Eagles manage to trade Brown before June 1, the Eagles’ dead cap will incur $43,515,106. But if he remains on the roster, their salary cap will suffer a 23,393,497 hit.
