Former ESPN host Max Kellerman was back in the news this week after claiming that people need to move on from the Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini scandal, using pretty intense language to scrutinize the obsession of fans and media with the alleged affair.
Kellerman said – “They’re using it as a bullsh*t excuse to be titillated by an affair. It’s disgusting,” about fans discussing the incident.
The comment has now drawn a response from former NFL player Breiden Fehoko, who reminded Kellerman of his past employer’s coverage of the Tiger Woods scandal when it first broke out.
The Tiger Woods scandal stems from a similar situation where the golf legend admitted to having multiple affairs in 2009, leading to a media storm that ended with Woods taking a break from the sport.
ESPN did cover the incident extensively, and Kellerman probably does remember much of what went on during that particular scandal.
Similarities and Differences Between the Two Infamous Scandals
Tiger Woods’ infamous 2009 scandal became public following a car accident outside his Florida home, leading to a number of media reports that multiple mistresses were involved in the golfer’s life, leading to a divorce between him and his wife Elin Nordegren.
Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini’s alleged affair came to light more recently after cozy photos of the duo emerged in an Arizona resort where couples usually hang out, leading to a similar media frenzy. However, both their partners haven’t publicly announced any separation because of the incident.
