The Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding has been the talk of the town for the past couple of months. The couple tied the knot in front of a thousand guests at a castle-themed Madison Square Garden in New York as the wedding venue.
While most guests, like Russell Wilson, Pat McAfee, and Kyle Juszczyk, raved about the highly anticipated event, a report by the Daily Mail suggested that some guests weren’t thrilled with the arrangements. Some of the comments included the long queues for the food buffet, the alleged distribution of Chanel bags, and even the claim that the whole event felt like a networking event for Kelce.
After allegedly talking to a few people who attended the wedding, celebrity journalist Rob Shutter shared his thoughts on Thursday on “The Nerve Show.”
“It was a mess. It was a total, total mess. Everybody that I’ve spoken to, I spoke to four people who were at this wedding… It just wasn’t very well planned. Now, in their defense, anybody who’s ever catered a wedding or worked at a hotel or even a restaurant knows it is impossible to serve a thousand people at the same time and have high-quality food. So maybe that’s why they went with a buffet, but it just wasn’t thought through. There were not enough seats. People, once they got their tray of food, their plate of food, they didn’t have anywhere to sit. I’m told it was really, really awkward. And not only was this a brand promotion, this was a takeover. This was the Swift company taking over the Kelce company.”
“She’s the big corporate giant. He’s the smaller independent firm here. And this is an absolute takeover.”
Pat McAfee Defends Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding Amid Criticism
Pat McAfee spoke about the Swift, Kelce wedding on “The Pat McAfee Show” earlier this week.
McAfee addressed the negativity around the event, noting that guests were reportedly unhappy with the arrangements, and said it was one of the most “spectacular” events he has ever been a part of.
“That was the most spectacular evening I’ve ever been a part of,” he said. “The football world coming together with Hollywood and Nashville. It was the greatest night of all time.”
“My wife and I had a blast,” he continued. “They absolutely showcased that they are in love; it was very obvious. That wedding was a perfect night.”
McAfee then highlighted that Swift is one of the greatest creators in the world, as she puts on shows all around the world.
