Another scandal hits the NFL, as Arizona Cardinals personnel executive Ryan Gold is facing an indefinite suspension for violating the league’s gambling policy.

NFL statement on the suspension of Arizona’s executive Ryan Gold
The NFL released a statement on the suspension of Ryan Gold on Friday. The NFL clarified that the suspension became effective immediately:
“The NFL confirmed today that Ryan Gold, Director of College Scouting for the Arizona Cardinals, has been suspended indefinitely for violating the NFL’s Gambling Policy. This suspension is effective immediately…”
On the statement, the league also explained the reasons that led to the suspension:
“The League’s investigation determined that Gold provided confidential, non-public inside information regarding 2026 Draft selections by the Cardinals before they were announced, and that Mr. Gold participated in parlay bets on NFL and college games. Although there is no reason to believe the integrity of any NFL game was affected, the League takes any violation of the Gambling Policy with the utmost seriousness.
The NFL also shared that they don’t have any reason to believe the integrity of any game had been violated. The statement also said that Gold would have the opportunity to appeal the league’s decision to suspend him.
Gold had been working for the Arizona Cardinals since 2018, rising through their college scouting infrastructure.
