Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James seems to agree with Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders’ words about how he views himself as opposed to what others feel.
Recently, Sanders was asked a rather controversial question at the voluntary veteran minicamp. Taking into account his experience as an undisputed starter at Jackson State and Colorado, the reporter asked how he feels not having the same luxury at the Browns.
Without any hesitation, Sanders made his stance clear.
“I feel like I was a man,” Sanders said. “I don’t let nobody else dictate how I feel about myself. If you allow that, then you live for the wrong reasons. I know who I am as a person, as an individual, and just a child of God. So I can’t let nobody dictate how I feel about myself, and if I allow that, then I’m not meant to be strong. I gotta be able to be mentally strong in each and every situation that life throws at you.”
One can easily relate this statement of Sanders to his father’s Deion Sanders fierce and self-confident personality. Even LeBron seems to have liked it as he reposted the video of the same on his Instagram stories.

Shedeur Sanders’ First Reaction to Todd Monken’s Fresh Energy in Cleveland Camp
Shedeur Sanders is getting first-team reps alongside Deshaun Watson in the latest minicamp. He made his first impression on the field in front of new head coach Todd Monken.
While talking to the media, Sanders dropped insight on what it’s like to have Monken and his staff leading the locker-room, reflecting on the winning mindset Cleveland is chasing for next season.
“They’re going to understand and embrace you just as a person, and then they push you each and every day in the meeting room, on the field, in the weight room,” Sanders said. “It’s a new vibe, a new energy.
“We need y’all to have a new vibe, a new energy. I know y’all want us to win, so we need a winning energy here. We can’t have too much negativity going on. We want the players to be the best version of ourselves for y’all.”
The Browns have shared no confirmed starter for the 2026 season. The race is likely going to be between Watson and Sanders.
